Implementation: Begin with the End in Mind

In this session we discussed implementation – what happens after your bill passes to ensure the change you want to see in the world actually takes effect. Often overlooked, proper implementation of a law is an essential last step that advocates should consider from the beginning of a campaign and monitor well after. In this session, we also covered:

• Different implementation pathways and considerations during your campaign;
• Strategies to build relationships with agencies and elected officials responsible for the implementation;
• Ways to engage your community in public education and collaborate on roll-out
• Action steps to monitor and track the progress of an implemented law.
