How Policy Passes: the New York State Bill to Law Process

Together we will examine how a bill becomes law at the state level: including selecting sponsors, considerations for moving bills through committees, routes to get to a floor vote and to the Governor’s desk.

Understand the bill to law process in NYS and different pathways to pass legislation; and
strategies to navigate Albany politics and move your bill through committees to a vote.
